    About Just Jive - Lindy Hop

    We are a dance company based in Gloucestershire/Wiltshire. Our teaching team has over
    25 years of dancing experience between them. Combined with a background in music & dance and teaching & coaching in other disciplines, we are well equipped to make sure we can tune our teaching techniques to suit our students; whether that be a small private group, a regular dance class or at a major weekend event.

    Our friendly and relaxed approach have made our lessons very popular and our firm belief in the fundamentals have produced many quality dancers.

    About Your Teachers

    • Jim & Lisa Hannaway Are the founder members. They formed Just Jive in 1996 after many years teaching freelance with other dance companies. They have performed in cabaret with many of the UK's top Swing Bands and have taught Jive and Lindy Hop at many events across the UK.

      Specialising in Jive, Lindy Hop and Balboa, once you have seen their technically precise style, you will always be able to spot one of our students!
    • John Hall & Gail Newman

      Graduates of the Just Jive school and trained with some of the top UK and European teachers!
      John is a sought after joiner and runs a successful local business. He is a qualified Sports Therapist and Gymnastics Coach; Gail is a Practice Manager at an Accounting firm and has tried many dance styles before becoming hooked on Jive. What little spare time she has is spent indulging her other passion - singing.

      Jive and the Lindy Hop are their main disciplines, you will always spot these two at dance weekenders! From flash moves, to subtle basics, these guys will always be first on the dance floor, and the last to leave.

    • Alan & Jane McGurk

      Graduates of the Just Jive school and trained with some of the top UK and European teachers!
      Alan is an IT Manager and has spent many years playing bass and guitar in various bands, and has recently gained a Diploma from the Royal Society of Art; Jane owns and runs a successful Beauty & Alternative Therapies practice (www.sugaura.com).

      Jive and the Lindy Hop are their main disciplines with Balboa now making an appearance in their repertiore. They love nothing better than to dress up and show off their talents at dance weekenders. The faster the better!
